Terms and Conditions

48 Hour Right Of Return

Diamond Class owners have the right to return a Diamond Class car within 48 hours following purchase subject to the following conditions:

1. The vehicle must not have travelled more than 200 kilometres.
2. The vehicle must be returned to the dealership.
3. The vehicle must be returned in the condition it left the dealership.
4. The vehicle must not be modified or altered in any way or style.
5. 48 Hours starts from when the owner takes possession of the vehicle and it is driven away from the dealership


2 Year Unlimited Kilometre Manufacturer’s Warranty

The following warranty exclusions apply

a) Vehicles used for hire or reward limited to 2 years 150,000 kms manufacturer's warranty
b) Vehicles used in motor racing, rallies, speed or duration testing or any practice thereof are not eligible for warranty.


ZEALANDIA – the Karori Sanctuary Experience.

‘Two-for-one’ entitles one free entry to Zealandia – the Karori Sanctuary Experience or an equal or lesser value, when a ticket is purchased. Limited to one use of card per year.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE SERVICE

Callers under this program will be required to provide registration number and/or membership number to qualify for assistance. For security reasons Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance may not respond to call outs if these details are not made available prior to assistance being provided.

Main Components:

The four most common elements of roadside difficulty and the responses are:

Flat battery
Jump-start. If a battery replacement is required, this may be done in conjunction with Mitsubishi Motors (ie under the manufacturer’s warranty).

Lost/Locked keys
Access the vehicle or if appropriate transport the vehicle to the nearest dealership / place of repair.

Flat tyre
Fitment of the spare wheel and a referral if requested to a reliable repairer or supplier.

Out of fuel
Delivery of 5 litres of petrol or diesel free of charge.


If the problem causing immobility is a minor mechanical or electrical breakdown the provider will attempt emergency mechanical or electrical repair at the roadside to rectify the problem and mobilise the vehicle.


Mechanical Breakdown (excluding accident)

If the vehicle cannot be mobilised at roadside, Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance will arrange for the vehicle to be transported to the nearest Mitsubishi Motors dealer or place of storage. Any extra towing and storage over that is the responsibility of the owner / driver.

If at the time of breakdown the vehicle was towing a caravan, boat or trailer this vehicle will be towed or transported to the nearest Mitsubishi Motors dealer or place of safety. Towing and storage costs will be the responsibility of the owner.

Taxi Option

If the vehicle cannot be mobilised due to mechanical defect and must be transported to the nearest Mitsubishi Motors dealer, Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance will provide one taxi ride to the value of $50 including GST to enable the vehicle occupants to continue their journey. Any amount charged in excess of this limit will be the responsibility of the customer.

Rental Vehicle

In the case where a Mitsubishi vehicle breaks down more than 100 kilometres from home due to a warrantable defect and the repair will exceed 24 hours Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance will arrange a rental vehicle for up to 3 days to a maximum of $300.00 including GST to allow continuation of the journey while the vehicle is being repaired.

Accommodation Option

As an alternative to the rental vehicle option, where a Mitsubishi vehicle breaks down more than 100 kilometres from home due to a warrantable defect and the repair will exceed 24 hours, accommodation can be arranged up to 3 nights, to a maximum of $350.00 including GST, excluding meals and personal expenses, while the vehicle is being repaired. This option cannot be used in conjunction with the rental vehicle.
Further accommodation, if required, will be arranged for the client at their own cost, or the discretion of Mitsubishi Motors.

Vehicle Repatriation

Where a Mitsubishi vehicle breaks down more than 100 kilometres from home due to a warrantable defect and the repair will exceed 24 hours the vehicle will be transported to the nearest Mitsubishi Motors dealer or approved repairer. At the completion of repairs Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance will arrange the vehicle to be repatriated to the customer's servicing dealer, home address or convenient location, whichever is closer.

Accident, Theft, Vandalism and Collision Co-ordination

Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance will provide advice and assistance in the event of a motor vehicle accident. Towing and transportation services will be arranged in the event of the vehicle being immobilised or unsafe to drive. All costs relating to towing or transportation services as a consequence of an accident will be the responsibility of the owner / driver.

Windscreen Repair Referral

Referral to the nearest Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance approved windscreen repair service.

Message Relay

In the event of a mechanical breakdown or accident, we will relay urgent messages to friends, family or business associates.

Travel Delay

In the event of a mechanical breakdown or an accident that delays the caller, we can co-ordinate and re-book pre-planned travel arrangements, or make alternative arrangements as directed.

Legal Advice

We can provide access to legal advice (verbal only) on all matters arising from traffic and motor vehicle legislation, and matters arising from the use and ownership of a motor vehicle, 24 hours / 365 days a year. This is a free consultation service to Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance customers.

Emergency Personal Assistance

We will provide advice on the cancellation of lost or stolen credit cards, cheques, passports and driver's licence.

Medical Referral / Advice

Clients travelling away from their home base and in unfamiliar territory may, from time to time, find themselves in need of medical advice or treatment. The First Assistance medical team will give the appropriate advice and refer the caller to the nearest medical centre for treatment. Consultation and treatment fees are the responsibility of the owner.

Travel Directions

Should any owner become lost or require travel directions First Assistance can provide help and instructions on how to reach the planned destination and advise of delays in arrival by way of message.

Technical Advice

Telephone technical advice will be provided by the First Assistance operators in regard to vehicle operation, instrument warning indicators, or technical / mechanical information regarding the vehicle.

EXCLUSIONS for MITSUBISHI MOTORS


The Roadside Assistance programme and services outlined in this Service Agreement do not apply to the following:

a) Vehicles used for hire or reward
b) Vehicles used in motor racing, rallies, speed or duration testing or any practice thereof.
c) Claims arising from the loss or damage to the contents of the vehicle.
d) Claims arising from damage caused through forced entry in an attempt to recover locked keys, whereby the owner / driver has been fully briefed on the situation by Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance staff or the provider in attendance, and the owner / driver has subsequently agreed to indemnify Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance, against any damage caused during entry.
e) Claims arising from a recurring electrical or mechanical limit resulting from improper maintenance or servicing where a known fault and repair has been neglected.
f) Situations where the vehicle is disabled by floods, snow affected roads, or is not accessible due to other adverse conditions.
g) Vehicles being bogged in off road conditions and not easily accessible by normal two wheel drive recovery vehicles.
h) Vehicles being located off public roads (other than private residence), not accessible by normal two wheel drive recovery vehicle.
i) Vehicles exceeding 3.0 tonnes in laden weight.
j) Vehicle has been left unattended.
k) Vehicles modified from standard manufacturer's specification.
l) Vehicles other than those confirmed as covered by the Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance.
m) Vehicles not displaying a current motor vehicle registration certificate and warrant of fitness.
n) Costs relating to parts, labour and any associated costs for the repair of the Mitsubishi vehicle under the Roadside Assistance programme, including replacement batteries and / or tyres, shall be at the owner / driver’s expense. Claims may be recovered via the authorised Mitsubishi agent.
o) If at the time of breakdown the vehicle was towing a caravan, boat or trailer this vehicle will be towed or transported to the nearest Mitsubishi Motors dealer or place of safety. Towing and storage costs will be the responsibility of the owner.
p) Events as a result of an accident, or misuse of the vehicle. All associated costs are the responsibility of the driver.
